Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – The Premiere!!

Brand new movie hitting the cinemas next week: Journey 2: The Mysterious Island!

It’s a sequel to the first movie ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ but this time, Sean (Josh Hutcherson) and his stepdad Hank (Dwayne Johnson) go to find a mysterious island along with Hank’s daughter (Vanessa Hudgens) and the airline pilot ( Luis Guzman). Be prepared for huge animals, earthquakes and spectacular 3D effects!

Last night in Hollywood was the Premiere of Journey 2: the Mysterious Island … where the attention was soon taken away from the movie by Vanessa Hudgens!!

Vanessa Hudgens really stole the show in a bright yellow Grecian dress! The dress had a cut out back and sides with a long flowing train - STUNNING!! We love her natural make up and her curly hairdo!

Kristin Davis also stars in the movie but is best known for her role as Charlotte in Sex and the City! Kristin wore a short strapless purple dress that had a ribbon tied around the front – a great red carpet look!

Rachel McAdams also supported the movie by attending the premiere! She has got us all in the mood for Spring by wearing a long floral maxi skirt with a slit up the side and a blue top! She looks great and has definitely given Vanessa some competition!!

The girls all wore their hair in curls which is so easy to create:

1. Wash hair and towel dry until  your hair is damp. You can use the hairdryer if you want to speed up this process.

2. Our Denman Self-Grip Hair Rollers come in different sizes. Please pick your size according to the length of your hair.

The Small Self Grip Rollers (Red rimmed) are used for short hair.

The Medium Self-Grip Rollers (Black rimmed) are used for short-medium hair.

The Large Self-Grip Rollers (Blue Rimmed) are used for medium hair.

The Extra Large Self- Grip Rollers (Green Rimmed) are used for medium-long hair.

The Jumbo Self-Grip Rollers (Grey Rimmed) are used for long hair.

TIP: If you are using rollers to create volume from the roots of your hair the Jumbo rollers will create maximum volume.

3. Begin to wind your hair into the rollers. You can either let them sit and dry naturally although this may take a good few hours or you can blowdry the hair using medium heat.

4. Once all of your hair is completely dry, unwind it from the rollers to set free your curls!!

5. For a longer lasting hold, spritz with hairspray!

The Only Way Is Elegant!

 Happy Birthday Gemma!!

Last night in Essex was Gemma Collins’s 31st Birthday… and she threw a huge but very elegant party!!

Now we all know that the girls from Essex love their fake tan, hair extensions, nails and eyelashes… ok they may not have ditched all of them completely but last night the girls looked really elegant … with a touch of glamour!

The girls arrived in floor-length dresses and ball gowns whereas the boys got themselves all suited up!

Gemma Collins (Center) looks like the belle of the ball on her Birthday. She wore a stunning black floor-length dress with sparkling silver heels!

Gemma got herself in the party mood by hiring a Rolls-Royce Vanquish and heading off to the Woolston Manor Golf and Country Club with Sam Faiers and her sister Billie. The two sisters weren’t as dressed up for the occasion, they wore leggings and a top!

Create Gemma’s hair: Take the front section of your hair and spritz with hairspray. Backcomb this section of hair with our D91 Dressing Out brush. This brush is perfect for backcombing and teasing the hair to get maximum volume. It also has a pin tail which makes it easier for you to section off the hair. Continue this technique on the top and sides of the hair. Once the sections of your hair are fully backcombed, push the hair back and you will see the amount of height that you have created! Lauren Pope attended Gemma’s big birthday bash and looked gorgeous in a long silver dress, with her hair loosely curled and pinned back.

Lucy Mecklenburgh wore a gold sparkly dress that had a net skirt. She looked lovely in this dress, something completely different for her! :)

Rachel McAdams Promotes ‘The Vow’!

Ahhhhh… Rachel McAdams is back!!!

Since her huge success from the movie ‘The Notebook’ we have become a very big fan of Rachel!!! We love her on the big screen and off!! She has a great sense of style, usually seen wearing something from maybe the 50′s or 60′s but she pulls it off so well! :)

We are very excited to see Rachel’s new movie ‘The Vow’ that also stars the gorgeous Channing Tatum…. Ohhh yes please!! The Vow is about a girl called Paige (Rachel McAdams) who is in a coma due to a car accident. When she wakes up she has memory loss which means her husband Leo (Channing Tatum) has to win her back! Awwww sounds like another weepie!! TIP: Bring the tissues!!

Promoting her new film in New York, Rachel made sure that all eyes were on her; after all it’s a great excuse to show off her fashion trends!

Her first outfit was a knee-length dress that had a range of different shades of blue stripes! She even has blue striped shoes to match.

Her second outfit was a beautiful white jacquard dress by Andrew Gn! She looks stunning in this dress! Two wardrobe changes in one day!!

Rachel kept her trademark blonde hair loose but added a flick to the ends. Her make-up was very natural with a hint of red for the lips.

Reese Witherspoon Sparkles on the Red Carpet!

Reese Witherspoon, a fantastic American actress that has been in such huge movies such as, Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, Walk The Line and Water For Elephants.

Not only is Reese a global actress but she is also a fashion icon both on the Red Carpet and off! She has great style and she always looks after herself. You never see her with lots of make up on or fake tanned to the max, she’s just very natural and we think that’s a great look!

Reese has a brand new movie hitting the cinemas soon called ‘This Means War’ which is about two CIA men who are best friends and fall in love with the same girl (Reese Witherspoon).

Last night was the premiere of Reese’s new movie and of course the main talking point wasn’t the movie…. it was Reese Witherspoon!

We’re pretty sure you’ll agree with us when we say WOW!! Again Reese has kept her look very natural and elegant and let her dress do all the talking! Reese wore a stunning emerald green sparkly dress by Louis Vuitton… all eyes were on her!! She looked gorgeous even though she must’ve been freezing as it was 2C last night… that really is dedication!

We love Reese’s poker straight hair as it’s so smooth and glossy! Create Reese’s straight hair without using straightening irons!

1. Wash hair and towel dry so your hair is damp.

2. Take a section of your hair and clamp your Denman D79 Straightening brush (shown above) on the hair. Point your hairdryer at the vent part of the brush and slowly glide the straightening brush and hairdryer down the section of hair. The technique is exactly the same as using a straightening iron but instead you are using your hairdryer to create the heat.

The SAG Awards!

The Girls from Glee!

Lea Michele in a stunning grey Versace dress with a thigh-high split up the side! Lea has kept her look very natural with light waves and minimal make up.

Heather Morris… wow!! A different look for Heather it’s a short dress that has been transformed into a long formal gown! Her hair is beautiful and really easy to create!

Curl all of your hair completely with either curling tongs or straighteners (see here for tutorial). Once your hair is completely curled, take your D91 Dressing Out brush and begin to backcomb the top sections of your hair. This will create height and volume. Once the top is backcombed pin into place at the back of your head with bobby pins. Spray with hairspray.

Naya Rivera wore a sparkling dress by Naeem Khan that looked gorgeous on her! She’s gone for the Old Hollywood Glamour look with her big curls.

Michelle Williams in a fabulous scarlet red dress by Valentino. This dress is very simple and elegant and Michelle really pulls this look off! She looks great with her pixie hairdo and hasn’t tried too hard.

Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Collection Inspired By Amy Winehouse!

Jean-Paul Gaultier usually takes his inspiration from Madonna, but this time he is paying tribute to another musical legend… Amy Winehouse.

Using Amy Winehouse as inspiration the models wore 50′s style clothes, beehive hairstyles and walked down the catwalk to a soundtrack of her biggest hits.

Amy’s fashion was always spilt down the middle, you either loved it or you hated it! Jean-Paul Gaultier has taken some of her looks and made them into high fashion, such has corsets and pencil skirts. The models even had a beauty spot painted on and some had a prop cigarette.

We’re pretty sure that you will all agree with us when we say that Amy’s trademark was her amazing Beehive hairdo! Today we were going to tell you how to create this look.

1. Wash your hair and dry it completely. You can either straighten your hair or leave it natural.

2.Working from the crown of your head, take a section of your hair and spray it with hairspray. Take the D91 Dressing Out brush and backcomb this section of hair. It will look really messy but don’t worry it’s supposed to!!

3. Continue this technique at the top and sides of the hair. Once it is completely backcombed, gather your backcombed hair into your hands, bring it back and twist it to create a bouffant. The backcombed hair will have created height and volume which will now help hold your hairstyle. Secure at the back of your head with bobby pins.

4. Finish with hairspray.

The Glamour at the National Television Awards!

Last night was the National Television Awards which is one of the biggest nights for TV!

All the TV stars from either soaps, reality or comedy shows all come together for this big night to see who will win the big awards!

It’s also a great for us girls, because we get to sit and watch all of the stars on the red carpet and decide on which dresses we like the best! It gives us great ideas on how to do our hair and make up for a night out!

On the red carpet there seemed to be a repeating trend of dresses – pastel creams, glittery and vintage!

Michelle Keegan from Coronation Street looked stunning in a floor length sparkling cream dress! We love that Michelle has made her look really elegant and simple!

Lauren Pope from TOWIE – WOW!!! That dress is gorgeous!! The detail in the dress is fantastic we love the lace back and sleeves, it looks almost vintage but has a modern twist! Lauren’s hair also stole the show as it has been pushed back into a ponytail with curls!

Create Lauren’s hair by: backcombing the top of your hair using a D91 Dressing Out brush this will create height at the top. Once the top of your hair is backcombed scrape all of your hair back into a ponytail using our D82M Boar Bristle brush to smooth the hair so there is no bumps, this brush also adds gloss and shine to your hair and secure with an elastic. Take your curling tongs and begin to wrap sections of the ponytail around the curlers to achieve the curls and finish with hairspray!

Sam Faiers from TOWIE wore a glittery gold dress with a slit up the middle. She wore her hair in a beautiful updo that made her look like the ‘Belle of the Ball’!

Fearne Cotton wore a 1920′s Flapper Girl dress. Fearne always wears something really quirky and unique… we can definitely see why she’s such a fashion icon!

Little Mix didn’t do the dress code of ‘formal wear’ they came as their fun and edgy selves to make sure they stood out from everyone else who were in long floor length dresses!

Well they almost achieved standing out from the crowd… but their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos beat them to it!! Tulisa showed up to the awards in a pink feathered mini dress… she kind of looks like a pink flamingo!! It’s not really her best look!!

Vanessa Hudgens Hawaiian Photo Shoot!

Vanessa Hudgens arrived in Hawaii last week with her boyfriend Austin Butler. While Vanessa was enjoying her break in Hawaii she did a photo shoot to promote her brand new film ‘Journey 2 – The Mysterious Island’. Since the movie was filmed on the island, the photo shoot had to have that Hawaiian feel, so it was shot in trees near the beach.

We’re sure that you will agree with us when we say that Vanessa is stunning!!! Vanessa wore a long white halter neck, maxi dress with some embroidered detail. She wore her hair in loose waves with purple flower for a tropical feel! Her make-up is extremely natural she barely has any one apart from eye make-up… Roll on the summer!!

To create Vanessa’s loose waves follow these easy steps:

1. Wash hair completely and dry until hair is damp.

2. Take your Denman Extra Large Self Grip Hair Rollers and begin to wind them into your hair. We are using the extra large size because Vanessa’s hair is very long.

3. Once all of your hair has been wrapped into the hair rollers, you can either blowdry it or if you have enough time you can let it dry naturally.

4. When your hair is completely dry, unwind it from the rollers.

5. If you think that you have big curls and you want your hair to look more natural, take your D82M Boar Bristle Brush and softly begin to brush your hair. This brush will smooth the hair and add polish and shine!

Lauren Goodger’s Photoshoot with Wigs!

Celebrities can never have too many hairstyles or hair colours. Once they’ve got a new look, they change it and this happens over and over again!

By now we’re pretty sure that you have all seen Lauren Goodger’s new dark hair… which we totally love and are really glad that she has gone for a brand new look!

Well… luckily she has still kept her new dark look but has just recently done a photo shoot with Now Magazine, modelling two very different wigs!

Wig Number 1

Lauren is modelling a sharp bob with a fringe… she is almost unrecognisable! We’re so used to seeing Lauren with long hair and either a side or middle parting! We’re not too sure if we really like this as much as her new dark hair.

As soon as we saw this photo of Lauren with long red hair, the first thought that came into our heads was that she looks a bit like her co-star Amy Childs! We never really thought about Lauren with red hair but after seeing this … she really can pull off any colour! Maybe red will be Lauren’s next hair colour! :)
